Installation

Timber lengths and paint

This installation alters the perception of the original space. Metaphysical contingencies such as space and gravity enter the work. These contingencies manipulate the work. The viewer is offered a particular set of visions; diagonal, sideways as well as up and down in attempt to engage with the space in its entirety. Most wholly, the installations focus on the gravitating pour. As a result, a downward visual vortex which swallows up a gaze is produced. Colour also adds a heightened visual experience. The colours chosen reference the physical phenomenon of the rainbow. The environment insists on awakening a sensory engagement within the viewer.
