In pairs, first-year students made these papier-maché animals. Through manipulation and experimentation with materials, students discovered how to construct a 3D form. The paired work was beneficial because one student was able to hold parts of the form while another student could continue building the structure. Students learned how to collaborate and communicate with one another.
